About the Role

The Grants and Communications Manager will work with ORPC’s President and the company’s Director of Communications to oversee our grant activities and digital communication. The successful candidate will have experience in grant funding and excellent writing and editing skills. In addition, the position will be responsible for managing ORPC’s digital media presence to reach prospective international customers and stakeholders through ORPC’s website, social media platforms, and other modes of digital communications.

As part of the ORPC team, the Grant and Communications Manager will work with a motivated and dedicated workforce to implement renewable energy solutions. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Track all details of upcoming grant opportunities, including timelines, deadlines, and applicability to ORPC’s work
  • Lead project management of grants and proposals, including identifying work components for the proposal team, organizing the internal proposal team, and managing external partners’ contributions
  • Maintain and update team resources and other relevant company information such as published papers and patents
  • Manage grant reporting, compliance and close out processes
  • Develop and implement digital media strategy and budget
  • Manage ORPC’s online presence, including creating written and visual content, measuring effectiveness, recommending improvements, and implementing both organic content and paid advertising, to effectively reach ORPC customers and stakeholders
  • Oversee work of digital marketing vendors, including website developer and subcontractors
  • Assist Communications Director with other marketing needs including development of marketing materials (fact sheets, newsletters, blogs), tradeshow presence and sponsorships, presentations, and video production, as requested
  • Manage Customer Relationship Management/Enterprise Resource Planning software internal interface for Communications team
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual communication documents provided for staff, board of directors and shareholders
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with fellow staff members, ORPC leadership team, international subsidiaries, and other internal/external stakeholders to effectively implement digital marketing efforts

 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Editing, document design and control, research & grant writing and management
  • Flexible, creative, and team-oriented
  • Thorough understanding of internet and general marketing strategies, including new opportunities and trends, web analytics and SEO techniques
  • Experienced in managing social media, including ability to conduct and correctly interpret research and web analytics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe creative applications, including video production
  • Knowledge of Spanish and/or French helpful

 

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Business Marketing, Communications, or related field required
  • Knowledge of the renewable energy market is a plus
  • Three years of related experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport

 

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Occasional travel to domestic and international locations

The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team based in Europe, Canada, South America and the United States. This position is a hybrid position with the opportunity for remote work. Some domestic and international travel is required.
