ORPC is seeking a Field Service Lead based in Quebec to assist with the installation of our cutting-edge marine renewable energy systems. The Field Service Lead will be involved in the management of multiple projects and will collaborate with teams across the US, Canada, Ireland and Chile.

You will be the bridge between our engineering designs and real-world implementation, managing site characterization, installations, and long-term operations across multiple high-impact projects in the US and Canada.

• Manage project-based field operations, from site surveys to the final installation of ORPC power systems.
• Develop and champion on-site safety plans and risk mitigation strategies, ensuring every team member returns home safely.
• Partner with our development and engineering teams in the U.S. and beyond to deploy our power systems.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical and marine systems in remote locations where creativity and resourcefulness are your best tools.
• Manage contractors and collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure quality, environmental, and community standards are exceeded.

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent life experience) and have 5+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems, electrical wiring, and marine operations.
• You have a proven track record of coordinating fieldwork and leading subcontractors to high standards of workmanship.
• You are professionally fluent in French and English.
• Ability to travel up to 35% of the time, often to remote domestic and international locations.
• You hold (or are ready to obtain) an ASP Construction Certification and are comfortable in swift-water environments.
• You can interpret complex engineering drawings and analyze datasets to assess site feasibility.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience with data acquisition and instrumentation.
• Valid Driver’s License and Passport.
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in all weather conditions.

Le/la responsable du service sur le terrain sera chargé(e) de la gestion de plusieurs projets et collaborera avec des équipes aux États-Unis, au Canada, en Irlande et au Chili.

Vous assurerez la liaison entre nos conceptions techniques et leur mise en œuvre concrète, en gérant la caractérisation des sites, les installations et l’exploitation à long terme de plusieurs projets d’envergure aux États-Unis et au Canada.

• Gérer les opérations de terrain liées aux projets, des études de site à l’installation finale des systèmes d’alimentation ORPC.
• Élaborer et mettre en œuvre des plans de sécurité et des stratégies de gestion des risques sur site, afin de garantir la sécurité de chaque membre de l’équipe.
• Collaborer avec nos équipes de développement et d’ingénierie aux États-Unis et à l’international pour le déploiement de nos systèmes d’alimentation.
• Diagnostiquer et résoudre les problèmes des systèmes électromécaniques et marins dans des zones reculées, en faisant preuve de créativité et d’ingéniosité.
• Gérer les sous-traitants et collaborer avec les acteurs locaux pour garantir le respect et le dépassement des normes de qualité, environnementales et communautaires.

• Vous êtes titulaire d’un baccalauréat en génie mécanique (ou justifiez d’une expérience professionnelle équivalente) et possédez plus de 5 ans d’expérience pratique en systèmes mécaniques, câblage électrique et opérations maritimes.
• Vous avez fait vos preuves en matière de coordination de travaux sur le terrain et de gestion de sous-traitants, garantissant un haut niveau de qualité.
• Vous maîtrisez parfaitement le français et l’anglais.
• Vous êtes disponible pour des déplacements fréquents (jusqu’à 35 % du temps), notamment vers des sites éloignés, tant au pays qu’à l’étranger.
• Vous possédez (ou êtes prêt(e) à obtenir) une certification ASP Construction et êtes à l’aise en milieu marin.
• Vous êtes capable d’interpréter des plans techniques complexes et d’analyser des ensembles de données pour évaluer la faisabilité des sites.
• Maîtrise des logiciels de CAO (SolidWorks de préférence).
• Expérience en acquisition de données et en instrumentation.
• Permis de conduire et passeport valides.
• Capacité à soulever des charges jusqu’à 23 kg et à travailler dans toutes les conditions météorologiques.

• A proven track record (5+ years) in energy project development and a “sales mindset” that finds a path to “yes” in complex scenarios.
• You understand the rural energy landscape, from the nuances of the PCE program to the cultural significance of tribal sovereignty.
• You have at least 5 years of experience leading teams and a natural ability to communicate across diverse audiences.
• You are passionate about sustainable impact and are ready to travel to the most remote corners of the state to make it happen.
