December 07, 2017 Herb Scribner Honored with Establishment of University of Maine Marine Sciences Fund for Students
Ocean Renewable Power Company (ORPC), in the business of improving people’s lives, and their environment through sustainable energy solutions, is pleased to announce that in partnership with the University of Maine Foundation and the Scribner family, it has established the Herbert C. Scribner Jr. Marine Sciences Educational Fund to benefit School of Marine Sciences students. Mr. Scribner was ORPC’s first director of environmental affairs, and a 1971 UMaine graduate in engineering, He died in early 2017.
